Denver Award Program Honors the Achievement

DENVER October 4, 2018 — SUE DANIELS PHOTOGRAPHY has been selected for the 2018 Denver Award in the Photographer category by the Denver Award Program.

Each year, the Denver Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Denver area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2018 Denver Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Denver Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Sweet Senior!

I’ve been taking Paige’s audition photos for the last 3 years and so I was very happy when mom contacted me to do her senior portraits. Paige is one of those dancers who dances from the heart. You know – it’s not just all about technique. When she moves she is expressing herself. As is almost always the case, we were both feeling a little shy at the beginning of the session but then, as we both warmed up, great things began to happen!

Nederland Wedding

Back to one of my favorite places on Earth – Nederland, Colorado for Paul and Velina’s wedding. And one of my favorite brunch places – The Sundance Cafe. Perched on a hill just above the town of Nederland and with great views of the mountains, this lovely couple pledged their wedding vows. Tears, smiles, balloon pops and cheers were all part of the occasion.

I like this shot. It shows what it’s like to shoot in a studio. Of course, the subjects will be “selected” off the white background (in Photoshop) and added to a more interesting background. You would never know it was taken in the studio. The actual photo shoot is just one of the many steps that go into producing a compelling image.
