Basic Digital Photography – $79.00
Every Tuesday night starting April 5 through May 24 (8 weeks)
from 7:00pm – 8:30 pm @ Sue Daniels Photography
This course is for anyone who finally wants to get out of “auto” mode, take better photos and become more creative with their photography. Classes are held in my studio located in Northwest Denver which is easily accessible from Boulder. Please bring your camera, camera manual, flash and flash manual to class. If you would like to follow along in the image editing class, please bring a laptop with you on day 7. Recommended software – Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom.
Curriculum
Day 1 – Camera Settings – automatic and beyond
Day 2 -The Exposure Triangle – aperture, shutter speed, ISO
Day 3 – Lighting
Day 4 – Composition
Day 5 – Using flash
Day 6 – Studio Session – with model
Day 7 – Image Editing Software and Retouching Basics
Day 6 – Photo Critique/Wine and Cheese

I haven’t done a show in many years but now that I live in Denver I thought it might be fun to participate in one. {Thus the update to my bio below). The show is called “Art In The Highlands” and it takes place on Friday May 1st from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday May 2nd from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m at Highlands United Methodist Church – 3131 Osceola St. There are some wonderful artists this year and so the show should be a real treat! I’ll have many of my dance photos for sale as well as local shots of Denver. Hope to see you there!

My dream come true. After much planning and work it’s finally here! I love, love, love it. So grateful to my wonderful contractor, Gamiel Luna (LCS Services).
I love the outside too! (hmmm – those doors would make a great backdrop)
All in a beautiful setting with a nice park right down the street (if you prefer outdoor photos).
And not far from some really cool, urban scenes.

So excited to finally be underway on the construction of my new photography studio here in Denver. The job is progressing well and I hope to be up and running by mid-May. It will be fully equipped with professional studio lighting and backdrops. Hope you will come by and check it out.

I am so excited to announce the start of a brand new portrait photographer’s user group in Boulder. This August, we will be holding our very first get together at Boulder Digital Arts. It will be a wonderful opportunity for local photographers to come together and share their experience, expertize, and passion in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. It will also be a great time to discuss business concerns and tactics, pricing, marketing and new technology. We’ll talk about everything from babies to boudoir and plan for some guest speakers and outings. Our first get together will be Wednesday, August 8 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Boulder Digital Arts – 1600 Range Street, Suite 100 Boulder, CO 80301 Google Map.

Other than my computer being totally uncooperative yesterday (why is it, when you have so much to do, your computer feels like being flaky?) everything is looking good for my shoot this Sunday (November 13). I am excited for some new things I will have going this year – a new and wider backdrop, additional order processors (to speed things up), 2 new greeting card layouts (one with a Nutcracker theme), and the new “Standout” wall print which is a print with a modern. clean wood frame built around it. No glass – the print is UV coated – so it’s light, durable and easy to hang. I hope to see you there. Call (303-258-0266) or e-mail me if you have any questions.
